Island Tribe 3 is a popular Time Management/Strategy game produced by Realore Studios. You can download and purchase the game from Realore by clicking here. Versions of the game may be available from other Game Portals as well, but please support Realore by purchasing directly from their site. The Realore version was released in December 2011.
What this Guide IS:
This Guide only covers Level 1–27. See Home for further details.
The Island Tribe 3 Strategy Guide site is designed to help you earn Gold for every level of the game in Normal Mode.
The strategies should also work in Hard Mode, but there are unpredictable variables (lightning, for example) that may prevent you from reaching Gold in Expert mode every single time you play. The timing in Hard Mode is VERY tight and does not allow for adjusting strategies. A difference of a few seconds on the timer might depend on:
placing your Workers by delaying them with Diamonds while they wait for Resource production,
picking up Resources in a particular order,
or upgrading a Building at precisely the right moment
The level goals remain the same in each mode; the only difference among the modes is the amount of time you have to get the Gold bonus and complete the level.
If you're looking for an introduction to the game play or more detailed information about some of the game mechanics, as well as general tips that don't apply to particular levels, check the Getting Started section.
While the tips and techniques discussed here may not be the only way to complete each level with Gold, they have been tested and proven to work. If you have a different/better strategy for a level, we would love to hear about it through Contact Us.
It is NOT a tutorial on how to play the game. We assume that the you already know how to perform basic actions such as upgrading a Building, collecting Resources, repairing Totems, etc.
It is NOT an introduction to the game mechanics, which should already be clear through the game tutorials and and the information the game displays as it progress.
It is NOT designed to give you the highest score possible on each level. Your score is dependent on several things including resources gathered and used, buildings upgraded and repaired, diamonds collected, and many other variables. You can replay any level in order to get a higher score.
It is NOT a 'Walkthrough' — you should be able to use the information for any level without reading the entire Guide — and it doesn't provide detailed step-by-step instructions.
All screen shots are taken directly from the game.
Videos for the levels were done in Hard mode, so they should work in Normal and Easy modes.
Some of the videos are available on YouTube, but most are available only through this Guide, since they are designed to support the steps and the Guide. If you wish to see what videos we are working on, visit our Channel.
About Game Strategy Wizards
Shila Henriksen ('Mif') is an Information Technology executive in Copenhagen (Denmark) with a passion for Time Management games. Shila created all the YouTube videos and is the master strategist for the tricky levels. Most people think that she's the nicest and sweetest online personality they have ever met, but that is before they really get to know her. She speaks several languages, including Danglish. She is always right.
Jeff Zahn ('zahnprod') is a Graphics Designer, Data Miner, Technical Writer, and occasional Strategy Guide author from New York with a passion for large-scale Adventure and Simulation Games (most notably the Westward series from now-defunct Sandlot Games). Jeff wrote and/or edited most of the contents of the site and acts as the Webmaster. Publicly pedantic and sometimes snarky, he's really a softie at heart when it comes to rainbows, kittens, and ponies, but he hates bunnies. He thinks he has a sense of humor, but his cat disagrees.

Submitted on 9/24/2015 Review title of NancyLike it, but Windows 10 mouse does not work rightI'm on Windows 10 Pro, on a laptop, with a track pad and a 'click bar.' I found that my pointer was hovering over a pile of wood, but the wood was not highlighted to pick it up. I moved my mouse down and to the right (not over the pile of wood), and then saw the wood 'light up' so I could pick it up.
Well, there were some items that would not even light up, and I kept having to hunt for the 'location' of the object, in order to 'click' on it. In all cases, the item to be clicked on was never under the location of my mouse pointer.
Some items, I never found out where to click! I believe that this means the game was developed for the old Windows 7 x64 or x32 computers, and has not updated to work well with Windows 8.1 or Windows 10. Maybe they will fix this in the future, but for now, it does not work well on Windows 10.
